Built as a gaff yawl named Apterix in 1894 by William Luke and Sons on the Hamble. Renamed Glance in 1927. Rig changed to Bermudan in 1948. First engine was a Berguis petrol/paraffin 22hp installed 1927 - shaft through the starboard quarter.
Currently kept at Quoile Yacht Club on Strangford Lough, Northern Ireland.
